African Safari
June 24 - 30, 2018
We visited Africa this summer (well our summer, and their winter), to explore the South African region. We went to Africa for our sardine run expedition, which was amazing. But you can not go to South Africa without visiting a wildlife safari. So we chose Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve and Bonamanzi Game Reserve. Both were amazing place, but Hluhluwe was just freaking incredible. They are regarded for their work with white and black rhinos, sadly we didn’t find any blacks, but there was plenty of white rhinos and damn were they amazing to encounter. We also had big herds of elephants everywhere, hunting wild dogs and lions, and herds of everything out there. It was all we hoped to experience when we visited Africa. After the sardine run ended, we scheduled some more time and we wanted to explore more parts of Africa, however, it was so good at Hluhluewe, we decided to go back for more. Such an epic place, we can’t wait to go back. Hope you enjoy our images from this past season’s trip…
