Whale Watching and Snorkeling: This is 5 days of thrilling whale watching and snorkeling with humpback whales.
Zebra Shark Encounter: On Sundays we are not allowed to go out on the boats, so we will head out for a shore dive to search for zebra sharks.
Breakfast: Start your days right with a continental daily breakfast.
Ha’apai Flights: We've got your travel needs covered with round-trip flights from Tongatapu to Ha’apai, ensuring a hassle-free journey to and from this tropical paradise.
Airport Transfers: Upon arrival at Ha’apai airport, our transfer service will whisk you away to the Sandy Beach Hotel, and back to the airport at the end of your stay. Your comfort and convenience are our top priorities.
Lunch on the Boat: Lunches will be served onboard, providing sustenance on your aquatic adventures.

TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1 - Travel day. Arrive on Ha’apai. We have an 8:30AM flight with a small private Charter. Once you arrive on the island. We help you check into your room, the rest of the day is yours to prep cameras, snorkel gear, relax and explore the island.

DAY 2 - 6 (5 Water Days)
Water days start at 9 AM daily, dedicated to seeking and swimming with humpback whales in Tonga's pristine waters.Each day we spend six hours at sea, allowing for varied encounters; some days might be fast interactions, while others offer prolonged engagements… all dependant on the whales' behaviors.

On Sundays, as per local law, we are unable to embark on boat excursions.
However, there are exciting and fun activities to choose from, ensuring you make the most of your day in this beautiful paradise; shore diving, kayaking, biking, or just laying around on the beach all day.
*We will return to swimming with the whales on Monday.

TRAVEL DAY - We will return you to the Ha'apai aiport for your journey home. We depart from the hotel to the Ha’apai Airport at 6:30AM
* FLIGHT INFORMATION
You will need to fly into Tongatapu (TBU) the night before to catch your 8AM flight on arrival day.You can make your return flights from (TBU) after 2pm on departure day. Flights to Tonga are through Fiji, New Zealand or Australia.
THE ACCOMODATIONS
The lodging's are at Sandy Beach Resort.They are situated on a beachfront tropical garden setting. The comfortably furnished rooms have tiled floors and each fale has a private terrace with a view of the crystal clear Pacific Ocean.
Fales may be configured with two twin beds or one king-sized bed and each has it’s own table, chairs, fan, wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities. Spacious ensuite bathrooms have a large washbasin, WC and a large, fully tiled shower. There is plenty of solar-powered hot water with good water pressure.
There are limited Fales so it is double occupancy only.

SNORKELING
On Sundays, we are not allowed to swim with the whales (local law). However, just a few feet away from your Fale is world class snorkeling. The nearby reef system and coral bombies, offer some of the South Pacific’s most unspoiled and rarely visited dive experiences. From soft coral gardens to hard coral bombies, this truly is a diverse marine environment.
With regular sightings of the big stuff like zebra sharks and eagle rays, to colourful nudibranchs and spanish dancers, with everything in between. Visibility averages 100ft /30m but can often exceed that, water temps here range from 24C (78 degrees) to 28C (86 degrees).

50% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 180 days prior to departure.
100% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 90 days prior to departure.
A 4% surcharge is applied to payments made via credit card.
A 3% paypal surcharge is applied to payments made using paypal.
Payments can also be made via wire transfer. Just let us know and we will send you the bank transfer info. Please add $40 to cover bank fees.

Solo Travelers signing up for land-based trips individually will be charged the single occupancy rate.
To help keep costs down, you have the option to inform us if you would like to share a room with another solo guest of the same sex.
We'll make every effort to find you a roommate. However, if no one else wishes to share, you will be charged for a single room.
