Pantanal Jaguars 2026
Porto Jofre, Brazil
July 11 - 17, 2026
EPISODES # 82 - 83
Wild Minute #82 | Our First Jaguar of the Pantanal
Our first day in Brazil's Northern Pantanal delivered exactly what we had hoped for…our first jaguar.
We found Marcela, one of the region's best-known female jaguars, quietly hunting along the riverbank. Unfortunately, heavy afternoon rains rolled in and forced us off the river earlier than planned, bringing our first day to an unexpected end.
That's wildlife photography. Nature writes the schedule.
Thankfully, this was only the beginning of an unforgettable week in the Pantanal.
Episode # 83. Day 5.
Our 2026 Pantanal Jaguars expedition has officially come to an end.
What an incredible week it was.
Over the course of seven unforgettable days, we encountered 14 different wild jaguars, along with amazing sightings of maned wolves, giant river otters, tapirs, an ocelot, giant anteaters, and countless birds that make the Brazilian Pantanal one of the greatest wildlife destinations on Earth.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on this adventure… Such a great trip!
